The Grounds
Welcome to The Hidden Oak, nestled within stunning and picturesque grounds. Our surroundings boast meticulously manicured flower borders and a charming Yorkshire stone patio. With over 60 acres of lush lawns, every corner offers an idyllic backdrop for capturing beautiful photos. Our landscaping was thoughtfully designed in collaboration with renowned landscape designer Lizzie Tulip, a recipient of prestigious accolades such as the Chelsea Flower Show Medal, Premier Gold at Harrogate Spring Show, Large Gold and “Best in Show” at the Great Yorkshire Show.
As you enter through our grand gates, a majestic oak tree-lined drive awaits, stretching over 1km and leading you to our venue. Situated in the heart of our grounds, you’ll feel transported to your own private sanctuary. The soothing melodies of tweeting birds, the playful antics of rabbits and hares, and the occasional sighting of deer roaming the land create a truly enchanting atmosphere.
The abundance of wildlife on our grounds is no coincidence. Over two decades ago, we planted 45,000 trees with the vision of fostering diverse animal species in our surrounding areas. Today, we proudly witness the realisation of that vision.
